According to a draft law presented to the Duma, the Russian State will be privatising one company per day in 2002. This means that 340 firms will be fully privatised. The State will keep shares within 25 other companies. Privatisation will mainly affect the energy, telecommunications, railway, metallurgy, metal and military-industrial sectors.
