17/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - After the meeting, on Tuesday, between Commissioner Monti and German Secretary of State for the Treasury, Caio Koch-Weser, the European Commission points out in a press release that the latter announced that the German authorities fully accepted the measures proposed by the Commission on 8 May concerning the State guarantees for German public banks. EUROPE will come back to this in greater detail.
