ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electronics

The German electro-technical group SIEMENS is to sell MPM-MANNESMANN PLASTICS MACHINERY (1.4 bn euro turnover in 2000 with 7,000 staff), the plastics techniques company of the German firm MANNESMANN, to the investment firm APAX, it announced. The cost of the transaction is said to be around 800 million euro.
