Brussels, 10/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - Minimise legal restraints, or the .eu won't happen!". This is the warning call made by the European Internet sector regrouped within the CANeu (Cooperative Alliance for the Namespace .eu), one week after the adoption by the European Parliament of the Flesch report. Deploring the delays and the compromises in this dossier, CANeu is organising on 13 July, in the EP offices, a meeting to which will be taking part all the parties concerned with the Internet (politicians, business world, pressure groups, users, etc.). CANeu, provisional body, will take advantage of the occasion to form a true association representing the interests of the European Internet community with the national and Community institutions.
