The cable operator COMCAST offered USD 44.5 billion to buy AT&T BROADBAND, the largest in cable television in the United States. COMCAST's aim is to create the largest American cable television and fast Internet access provider. In fact, the merger of the two groups would give rise to an operator with 22 million subscribers.
