10/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission and Croatia have initialled an Interim Agreement allowing for the clauses on liberalisation of trade contained in the Stabilisation and Association Agreement initialled in May 2001 to take effect before the latter is ratified. The Interim Agreement should come into force early 2002, after having been formally adopted this autumn, when the Stabilisation and Association Agreement is signed.
