The Italian shipbuilding group FINCANTIERI and the largest German shipbuilder HDW - HOWALDTSWERKEDEUTSCHE WERFT have announced they are to join forces for the construction and marketing of ferries and non-nuclear submarines. This partnership could result in the creation of joint undertakings.
