MEPs pay tribute to Afghan women who come to EP to bear witness

Brussels, 07/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament committees on foreign affairs and women's rights, chaired by Elmar Brok (German Christian Democrat) and Maj Britt Theorin (Swedish Social Democrat) respectively, last week received three Afghan women who had secretly left Kabul to give testimony of their "daily oppression", it is stated in an EP release.
