ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) hotels

British COMPASS has made two consecutive sales. It has sold its middle-range hotel chain POSTHOUSE (79 hotels) to its compatriot BASS for the sum of £810 million, and has also sold its HERITAGE hotels (48) to the hotel group MACDONALD and to BOS - BANK OF SCOTLAND for the sum of £235 million. MACDONALD will hold a 50% stake in the joint venture created with BOS that will dispose of the balance.
