ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) publishing

The French VIVENDI UNIVERSAL sold to its German partner BERTELSMANN its 50% stake in the book club FRANCE LOISIRS (turnover of FF 2.5 billion in 2000), which until now was held equally. The two groups are also negotiating the sale to VIVENDI UNIVERSAL of the 50% held by BERTELSMANN in their joint website GETMUSIC.COM.
