The Swedish operator TELIA has announced that it is to sell to TELECOMS AMERICAS, the 62% stake it has in the Brazilian operator TESS, for 9 bn Swedish krone. The latter's assets are estimated at some SEK 16 bn. In the fourth quarter of 2000, TESS contributed to the tune of SEK 1.029 bn in TELIA's turnover.
