06/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - European Parliament President Nicole Fontaine said she was "very satisfied" with the release of Ivan Pilip and Yan Budenik, the two Czech politicians who had been imprisoned in Cuba. Ms Fontaine, who approached President Castro concerning this affair, welcomes the "active role played by the interparliamentary Union" in their release.
