05/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption last week of the report by Rainer Wieland (CDU), the European Parliament approved the joint proposal of directive, reached at conciliation with Council, consolidating and simplifying legislation for recognition of professional qualifications. The consolidated text also integrates provisions concerning continuous learning for doctors in medicine.
