05/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The President of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Enrique Baron received the Legion d'Honneur at a ceremony at the Quai d'Orsay, in which the French Minister for European Affairs, Pierre Moscovici stressed his role in the service of democracy in Spain, first in the Franco transition period and then as minister in the first Gonzlez regime, and within the European Parliament, of which he was president from 1989 to 1992.
