ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electrical equipment

The Italian group PRAMA-LIFTER (turnover of EUR 98 million in 2000) and its Spanish counterpart GMI (turnover of more than EUR 40 million in 2000) have signed a letter of intent in view of merging at the latest on 30 June through a share swap. The turnover of the new entity, based in Tuscany, should approach the EUR 200 million in this financial year.
