Stockholm, 09/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - Feisal Husseini, member of the Palestinian Executive Committee, especially responsible for questions concerning Jerusalem, had talks with the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council in Stockholm on Tuesday 9 January.
Mr. Husseini met Foreign Minister Anna Lindh and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hans Dahlgren, to whom he set out the Palestinian position on the ideas of President Clinton in view of rekindling the peace process in the Middle East, especially regarding Jerusalem.
You may recall that Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson and Anna Lindh last week received Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami (see EUROPE of 6 January, p.3, for the participation of the High Representative for Cfsp, Javier Solana in the efforts of the past few weeks aimed at rescuing the peace process).
