The Belgian group DUJARDIN FOODS, Europe's number three in frozen vegetables, has acquired a 50% stake in the French herb and aromatic plant specialist, GEL'PALM (turnover of FRF 13 million in 2000, with 20 employees and production of 1,500 tonnes). With this transaction, DUJARDIN FOODS expects turnover of 600 million by end 2001 with a workforce of 650.
