Journalists' study programmes on European Affairs for 2001-2002

Paris, 03/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The non-profit making association "Journalists in Europe" has been offering courses since 1974 in which 707 journalists from 98 different countries have taken part, is offering three courses in 2001-2002:

1. The European Union and its member states: October - December 2001

2. Focus on a single topic relevant to all European countries: January - March 2002

3. Specialist courses. Options: the work of a correspondent covering the European Union in Brussels, or European industry, or environment, or cultural policies - April - May 2002.

1)  The conditions of admission are as follows: be aged between 25 and 35; have at least four years' professional experience; be currently employed full-time in journalism; and have sufficient knowledge of English and French. Closing date for applications is 31 January 2001. Application forms are available from the association in Paris.
