03/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the tariff quota 2001 for the import at reduced rates and manioc and manioc products originating in Thailand (Official Journal L/328 of 23 December 2000). The EU has undertaken to import at a 6% duty 21 million tonnes of these products per 4-year period. The 2001 quota is 5.5 million tonnes.
