The Russian government has decided to sell 6.1% of the country's number one oil company LUKOIL to a holding created specially for this purpose, THE PROJECT PRIVATIZATION CO, which will place the share on the New York exchange, announced the Vice-President of the Russian Federal Property Fund, Dimitri Mazepin. The operation was approved in a decree by Vladimir Putin.
