Vienna, 20/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - According to a Eurobarometer poll conducted on the initiative of the European Monitoring Centre for Racism and Xenophobia headed, in Vienna, by Beate Winkler, on "is the presence of people practising other religions a source of concern to you?", 82% of Europeans on average say no, whereas 14.3% on average say yes, that does cause them concern. Here are the percentages of "yeses" in the different Member States: Denmark 31.7%; - Belgium 25.6%; - Greece 20.1%; - Sweden 17.3%; - France 17.3%; - Germany 16.3%; - Italy 11.7%; - Austria 11.6%; - United Kingdom 11.2%; - Portugal 10.1%; the Netherlands 9.6%; - Luxembourg 7.7%; - Finland 7.5%; - Ireland 7.2%; - Spain 5.6%.
