ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electronics

The Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer UMC - UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORP and its German counterpart INFINEON have the intention of building in Singapore a new factory for the production of silicon slices for a global investment of USD 3.6 billion. INFINEON will have a minority stake in this project.
