ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) finances

The Sino-British group HSBC has gathered together in a new entity called HSBC INVESTMENT BANKING BARSIL the activities of BANCO CCF BRASIL (profit of some 300 million euro in 1999 with 700 employees) and of HSBC BANK BRASIL (network of 1,000 branches) in asset management, pensions funds, capitals markets and merger and takeover consultancy.
