Japanese mobile phone group NTT DOCOMO has officially joined forces with American AOL - AMERICA ONLINE, that it hopes to use as a bridgehead to gain subscribers in the United States. Under the terms of the agreement, DOCOMO will disburse 10.3 billion yens for entering AOL JAPAN, the Japanese subsidiary of AOL, of which it will become the biggest shareholder with 42.3%.
