According to the American daily USA Today, the American telecommunications group SBC is preparing to sell to the Swedish firm TELIA "most of its European telecoms assets" for over $6 bn. The transaction initially concerns a 41.6% stake in TELE DANMARK. SBC also has a 40% stake in the Swiss operator DIAX, 15% in France's CEGETEL and 17.5% in Belgium's BELGACOM.
