The French LA POSTE singed an agreement marrying the activities of its subsidiary in messaging, parcel and logistics services CHRONOPOST (turnover of EUR 6 million in 1999 with 4,350 employees) to that of the American specialist in the sector FEDEX - FEDERAL EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL (turnover of EUR 17.3 billion in 1999 with 145,000 employees). This alliance will only be operational and not create capital links between the two partners.
