RTL GROUP (turnover of GBP 2.02 billion in the first quarter 2000), born from the merger of the audio-visual activities belonging to BERTLSMANN, ADIOFINA and PEARSON, indicated the take-over of 6.2% of the BANK OF NEW YORK in the Spanish channel ANTENA 3, for EUR 156 million. This transaction will enable RTL GROUP to increase to 16% of the capital.
