17/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - Unmik (United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) has chosen 28 October as date for the local elections. The date was set by Bernard Kouchner, UN Administrator, following consultations with the OSCE, which will monitor the balloting. You may recall that Kosovo's Serb minority has launched an appeal for the elections to be boycotted.
