Brussels, 16/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has provided its green light for a cooperation agreement between General Motors and Fiat. This agreement, to apply in Europe and Latin America, concerns the manufacture of vehicle powertrains, financial services to dealers and clients, and the organisation of research programmes. A joint-venture will be set up in Turin for the purchase of components and parts, and a joint venture will be created in Russelheim.
