07/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - A Commission spokesperson confirmed that a procedure could be opened against France, Germany and Luxembourg, the three countries that have not yet transposed the Directive on the liberalisation of gas before the deadline of 10 August (see EUROPE of 26 July, p.6). Let us recall that two countries, Portugal and Greece, benefit from a ten year prorogation. Tomorrow EUROPE will return to the state of the Directives transposition.
