ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

KPN MOBILE, subsidiary of the Dutch telecommunications operator KPN, has signed a memorandum of understanding with NTT DOCOMO aimed at bringing the latter into its capital to the tune of 15%, share evaluated at 5.1 bn euro. The two partners, moreover, are said to want to buy ORANGE, Britain's third largest operator put up for sale by VODAFOME. See EI of 10 May.
