ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) express mail

POST OFFICE, the British postal service, has announced the purchase of the French firm EXTAND from GEODIS (SNCF group) for 122 million euro. Specialised in the express parcel delivery services, EXTAND has a network of some sixty agencies in France and Europe (Benelux, Spain and Germany) and had a turnover of 200 million euro in 1999 with a workforce of 800.
