10/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Movement-Belgium and the Belgian Bureau at the European Parliament will be sponsoring a public debate on 18 May 2000 (5.30 to 7.00 p.m.) on "Towards a European Research Area: What Challenges Must be Met?". This debate, with Commissioner Philippe Busquin and Nobel laureate for chemistry Ilya Prigogine, will be opened by Belgian Liberal Willy De Clercq.
