ATD Quart Monde recalls the topicality of the eradication of poverty

Brussels, 09/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The ATD Quart Monde delegation to the European Union, has, in a press release on the fifty years of the Schuman Declaration entitled "1950-2000: today as yesterday, unite Europeans for peace and against poverty", recalled that as early as May 1948 the European Congress of The Hague had called on Europeans to "make war, fear and poverty fail".
