03/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The merger between Vodafone and Mannesmann has been re-notified to the European Commission as requested (see EUROPE of 24 February, p.12). The European executive now has until 3 April to decide on the initiation of an in-depth investigation. Vodafone may still submit undertakings, which would take the deadline to mid-April.
