ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

The American oil groups CHEVRON CORP and PHILLIPS PETROLEUM CO have announced the merger of their chemical activities in a 50-50 joint venture. The new undertaking, whose name has not been decided yet, will be a world leader in petrochemicals with estimated assets of EUR 6.1 billion and turnover of USD 5.7 billion.
