ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) internet

The Spanish groups TELFONICA (telecommunications) and LA CAIXA (savings bank) have announced the creation of a joint-venture offering means of payments and various services on the Internet. Both companies will hold an equal share in the joint-venture. The agreement also provides for the creation of a bank of financial services on the Internet for businesses and held to the tune of 80% by LA CAIXA and 20% by TELEFONICA.
