The American group WAL-MART has made a subsidiary of its Internet site WAL-MART.COM in a joint venture with the risk capital firm ACCEL PARTNERS (USD 1.4 billion in assets under its management). According to the Wall Street Journal, the start-up investment needed to launch the subsidiary is between USD 50 and 100 million.
