ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

SOLVAY has signed letters of intent with NORFLUOR (Mexico) and CHEMTECH PRODUCTS (United States) for the acquisition of the two firms, both active in fluorine products. No amount is mentioned for either of the two transactions. SOLVAY's turnover in fluorine activities totals around EUR 300 million, while CHEMTECH PRODUCTS has annual turnover of USD 40 million and NORFLUOR USD 20 million.
