ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

BMPS- BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA will proceed with a capital increase of EUR 516.40 million, reserved to the main shareholders of the regional bank BANCA DEL SALENTO in the framework of the acquisition of the latter. The take-over foresees the acquisition by BMPS of 52.6% of the capital belonging to BANCA DEL SALENTO for the sum of EUR 826.30 million. BMPS will pay EUR 309.9 million and, for the remaining balance, to the capital increase.
