On Friday, 7 March, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) submitted its proposal for a new European network code on demand response to the European Commission (see EUROPE B13477A18).
In a press release, ACER explains that this proposal aims to ensure that demand response resources can fully participate in the wholesale electricity markets while “providing much-needed flexibility to an evolving power system driven by renewable energy”.
