EU’s ‘Entry/Exit’ System, European Commission to consider gradual implementation to address concerns of several countries

On Thursday 10 October in Luxembourg, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, indicated that she was ready to look for solutions to enable Member States to start implementing the EU’s Entry/Exit System for travellers (EES) in a differentiated way, despite the fact that several Member States – France, Germany and the Netherlands – felt that they could not be ready by 10 November.
