EU Council ratifies €1 billion in aid following natural disasters in five countries in 2023

On Monday 23 September, the EU Council of Ministers adopted a decision to mobilise the European Union Solidarity Fund to the tune of €1 billion for Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Greece and France following natural disasters in 2023.
