On Thursday, 12 September, the European Commission announced that it had, on the EU’s behalf, signed a set of agreements and protocols with the three European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states: Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. These agreements concern the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism for the 2021–2028 period as well as protocols for annual tariff quotas for certain Icelandic and Norwegian fisheries products.
