The European Union has released a further €122 million in humanitarian aid for the Greater Horn of Africa, as the region continues to suffer the consequences of conflict and climate-related disasters such as droughts and floods, the Commission announced in a press release on Thursday 22 August.
The funding will be used to provide food aid and to meet other water and sanitation needs in areas particularly exposed to the risk of epidemics.
