EU set to reintroduce tariff quotas on Ukrainian sugar

24/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – After the case of oats, it is now Ukrainian sugar and eggs that should once again be subject to tariff quotas (see EUROPE B13434A14, B13436A5). According to a European source, the European Commission is set to announce the new tariff quotas on Wednesday 26 June. Registered imports of Ukrainian sugar and eggs since 2024 have exceeded the volumes authorised to be exempt for tariffs. These two products will therefore be subject to customs duties until...
