06/05/24 (Agence Europe) – The European Union’s first list of projects of common interest (PCIs) and mutual interest (PMIs) came into force on 28 April, the European Commission said on Monday 6 May. This list of projects, published at the beginning of April in the Official Journal of the EU (see EUROPE 13387/10) and replacing the fifth PCI list, focuses mainly on electricity, offshore production and smart electricity grids to support the EU’s energy transition. It also includes hydrogen and electrolyser projects, as well as CO2 network projects aimed at creating a market for carbon capture and storage.
