On Tuesday 23 April, with 352 votes in favour, 250 against and 21 abstentions, MEPs approved the revision of a series of texts aimed at strengthening the protection of small investors and stimulating investment in the real economy. This vote seals the European Parliament’s position on what is known as the ‘Retail Investment Strategy’, presented by rapporteur Stéphanie Yon-Courtin (Renew Europe, French).
