European Commission announces launch of joint action with €18.75 million budget to tackle rare diseases

On Friday 8 March, the European Commission announced the launch of a joint action to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients suffering from rare diseases. For the period 2024-2027, the action will have a budget of just over €18 million, of which €15 million will come from the EU4Health programme and €3.75 million from the Member States.
