European Commission initiates anti-dumping proceedings on imports of biodiesel from China

On Wednesday 20 December, the European Commission announced that it was opening an investigation into dumping practices involving Chinese imports of biodiesel. This decision was prompted by the complaint lodged on 7 November by the European Biodiesel Board (EBB), which condemned the unfair practices of Chinese exporters, arguing that the European industry had suffered several production site closures.
